Johnston & Jeff Seed For Soaking are a tasty mixture of seeds enjoyed by almost all birds, great for soaking and sprouting offering essential nutrients. By soaking the seeds they begin to germinate & offer nutrients that are much easier for the birds to digest.

Canary Seed, White Millet Seed, Black Rapeseed, Japanese Millet Seed, Hempseed and Groats.

During germination, starch is converted into more easily digestible simple sugars under the influences of the amylase enzymes. The high sugar content explains why germinated seed are very palatable for birds.

For the soaked preparation, rinse the seeds under running water and soak for 12 hours at room temperature, refresh the water a number of times; then rinse abundantly under running water.

Serve the soaked seeds, pure or mixed with Eggfood, as supplement to the feed.
